About Monte Sano State Park
Did you know Monte Sano means “Mountain of Health” in Spanish? Known for its stunning mountaintop views, the state park is situated in the Tennessee Valley on 2,140 acres. There are cabins as well as camp sites.
Plus, the brilliant fall leaves make the 20 miles of hiking and 14 miles of biking trails art in themselves. In the spring, natural art continues as the trails bloom with native azaleas.
