After all those months stuck at home, we’re all itching for a night of live entertainment. Though we still have a while to wait, there’s something to look forward to in the future! We’re talking about the new Huntsville amphitheater—and we sure are excited.
What will the amphitheater be like?
The new Huntsville amphitheater will be something to write home about, that’s for sure. Its current budget amount to about $40 million, with funding plans being discussed at the moment—ones designed to lower the price tag on locals. As of now, it will most likely be built in the MidCity District area and have a Roman design, complete with 8,000 seats.
Fun fact: did you know that the famous Roman Colosseum had space for 50,000 people—or more! It also took as long eight years for people to build it. The new Huntsville amphitheater won’t take that long—and it will be a lot more comfortable too.
What will the benefits be?
There are several benefits to having a new Huntsville amphitheater in the future—and they’re all music to our ears. Some of them include:
- More revenue opportunities from tourists and visitors, stimulating our economy;
- More jobs building and staffing the amphitheater; and
- More live music, shows, and fun for Huntsville residents to enjoy year-round.
When will the amphitheater be built?
As of now, there is no concrete timeline in place as to when the amphitheater will be built. Currently, those in charge are still discussing the fine details, putting a plan into place. They do say that good things come to those who wait—and this seems like it will be one of those good things!
